So Help Me

I got dragged to the movies last night. I didn't want to go, and I tried to say so, but I was outvoted. Still, it was to see Pirates for a second time.

And because we got there so early, I got to play on the "MTV Drum Machine." While it says "MTV," it doesn't totally suck. There are some good songs on it. The machine is an arcade game, where you put in some money, and get to play on the electric drum kit (missing only the hi-hat pedal) while a popular song plays. It's great to be able to play any kind of drums these days. But what's really fun is drawing a crowd.

The Toadies "Possum Kingdom" has a slightly off rhythm (7 beats / 8 beats ) which makes it fun as hell to play, and obviously a bit impressive to listen to. So, I got to hit things with sticks last night, too.

But people seem too oblivious to actually let me have a little quiet and space to record. And I may have to do something about that soon...
