Too Much Practice
No, not me. Some smaller bands just seem to have studied the conventions and rules for their preferred style of music far too heavily. You just listen to these guys, and you know what's coming next. They're frequently among the most technically talented people you'll hear, but it's not worth listening when you know what's coming next.

I've met people like this, too. Their contemporaries seem to dig the music. They'll always have work entertaining drunks at whatever bar needs to be booked on a given night. It's just kind of a pity watching these people dig their own holes.

On the other hand, there's "too little" practice. This is my downfall.

It's Friday. This is my other news. It's Friday. Work has been rough, but mostly consistant. The roads are seeing more traffic every day. But today is my last day to have to drive on them. Until Monday.

Good news, now...I'm sure there's some somewhere. Every once in a while I'll get an email or a private message from someone who reads. I'll get a little compliment or a request for an update if there's nothing new around here for a while. And it's appreciated.
